Reseller opportunities in South Africa with no stock and no upfront cost
A reseller programme with nothing to buy and nothing to store.
Most reseller opportunities ask for money first. You buy a starter kit, a float, a terminal or a box of stock, and then you hope to sell it. For many people that first payment is the whole problem.
It is worth knowing the main kinds of reselling in South Africa, because they are very different.
- Vendor apps and terminals. You load a wallet with your own money and sell airtime, electricity and vouchers to customers in person. You earn a small commission on each sale. It suits someone with a shop, foot traffic and cash to float.
- Stock-based direct selling. You buy products and sell them on. Your money is tied up in stock.
- Refer-a-friend programmes. You buy nothing to resell. You share a link, and you earn when the people who join through it use the service.
Ukutel is the third kind. There is no stock, no float and no kit. You are a customer first: you have your own line and your own cloud number. From there, every member gets a personal link.
What you earn, in plain numbers:
- 5% of the airtime inside each team member's monthly package. That is R2.50, R5 or R7.50 (about $0.15, $0.30 or $0.46) a month per person, depending on their package.
- 2.5% of every extra top-up they buy.
- Not only from people you invited yourself, but from the people they invite, to three, six or ten levels deep, depending on your own package.
What it takes, honestly. One person on their own earns little; our own example shows about 31 people after two years of steady effort alone. It becomes real income only when the people you invite also invite. It is a team effort, and we say so on our website.
To help someone try it, you can sponsor a friend's three-day trial for R5.
